Fast Five flexes its muscles during opening week

The latest in the series of The Fast and the Furious movies, Fast Five revved up audiences during its first week in theaters, earning $83.6 million during its debut weekend alone and adding fuel to the franchise that features muscle cars performing at top speed, according to USA Today.

Also performing well is the movie's star, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the former professional wrestler that has become a successful actor thanks to his ripped abs and comedic timing.

Johnson shared his fitness and diet routine with TrainBodyAndMind.com to reveal how he maintains the ripped physique that has become synonymous with his name.

The Rock's four-day workout plan focuses on one body part each day. One the first day, he focuses on shoulders, performing about six different exercises in sets of no more than five. The second day he works on his back, doing pull-downs and rowing. Johnson's leg routine involves presses, lunges, curls and calf raises. He keeps his arms bulky with curls, press-downs and overhead extensions, never exceeding 100 pounds in weight. Chest exercises include dumbbell presses, cross-overs and pushups.

Johnson also told the source that he sticks to a low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet loaded with salads, steaks, egg whites, protein shakes and sashimi.
