Finding the best route to get ripped is at the core of every body builder's mind. According to Men's Health magazine, a 19thcentury biologist once said, "science is nothing but organized common sense." Isn't that what weight training should be?
The SAID principle, which is a specific adaptation to imposed demand, may work wonders.
For example, when a muscle contracts in response to resistance, it adapts by growing bigger and stronger. If you increase the resistance, you may increase the size and strength. In a similar sense, when this cycle is repeated over time, the body becomes more resilient against fatigue. These adaptations may reduce stress on the body allowing every day activities to be executed with minimum effort.
Let's take the SAID principle to the weight room. When you're lifting weights, this causes small tears in muscle fibers. This expedites muscle-protein synthesis, which uses the building blocks of protein, amino acids, to repair and strengthen the fibers. As a result of this process, they become more resistant to damage.
These processes are occurring on a sub-cellular level; however, the macroscopic effects may become visible over time in the form of larger arms, wider shoulders and a broader chest.
Understanding the logic behind this process may be able to put you on the fast track to getting ripped.
