Feed those muscles properly while getting ripped

Men actively engaged in body building should take care to feed their bodies properly. It is well known that to build muscle, one needs to increase their protein consumption. However, men should not overlook the need for other nutrients as well.

Marton M. Yadrick, former president of the American Dietic Association, states that "for men of all ages and all stages of life, eating right and being physically active are as important to health as annual physical exams and visits to the dentist." To promote optimal physical endurance, the formula is simple - eat right and build muscle.

Although meat is an important source of protein, excess red meat may result in a plethora of physical problems such as clogged arteries. It may be best to reduce large meat portions and replace some of them with helpings of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, according to Yadrick. These food items also have the added benefit of providing individuals with vitamins and minerals they need.

Research has demonstrated that slight dietary modifications may improve overall health. These simple changes may provide muscle builders with the fuel they need to keep their motors revved up and their abdominals ripped.
