The UFC has released coverage on Brian Ebersole and Dennis Hallman, who have an upcoming welterweight fight in UFC 133 on August 6. The pair are both veterans, Hallman a 35-year-old with 82 fights and Ebersole a 30-year-old with 63 matches behind him.
They've both turned in good performances recently, with Hallman, a submission expert, winning in a knockout for the first time since 2001, while Ebersole has won 12 of his last 13 matches.
Hallman's training and workouts include running for cardio and sparring, as well as plyometrics to build muscle and speed. He considered dropping to lightweight at one point, and had to spend some time growing muscle again to return to welterweight matchups.
July has seen a few significant updates to the UFC 133 fight card, with Tito Ortiz stepping in to replace the injured Phil Davis. Ortiz will have a rematch against Rashad Evans, and the winner is expected to get a chance to claim the light heavyweight title.
Vladimir Matyushenko also was forced to withdraw due to injury, with Matt Hamill taking his slot to face Alexander Gustafsson in a light heavyweight match. A third light heavyweight injury, Antonio Nogueria, has moved Ebersole and Hallman to the main fight card.
