It takes a lot of work to get ripped like a sports star, and even more work to keep up with a ripped physique. According to the Associated Press, Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez has intensified his workouts since returning to training after his July 14 knee surgery.
"The first two days have been good," Rodriguez said. "I think it's how I'm going to wake up (feeling), how my body reacts the next week or so."
Rodriguez reportedly doubled his swing total and took 40 grounders on his still-healing knees.
Last year the baseball player told the New York Times that the key to staying in shape was maintaining flexibility, which he hopes will help him avoid the effects of becoming an older player.
The news provider reports that after his 2010 hip surgery, Rodriguez committed to working out and staying in shape. He lost 10 pounds and lowered his body fat to only 9 percent.
Anyone looking to try and achieve the baseball player's muscles should consider developing their own weight lifting routine.
