Keeping up with a workout routine while on vacation can be tough. People want to relax and enjoy themselves while still remaining focused on their goal to get ripped. Even though many hotels now have gyms, it can be hard to find time to make it there, depending on when they're open.
In response to this, MSNBC reports that hotels have been opting to let guests workout from the comfort of their own rooms.
“The increased popularity of in-room fitness options has to do with convenience and effectiveness,” said Chris Carmichael, CEO and head coach for Carmichael Training Systems. “People can get the job done without leaving their room, get it done quickly and get on with their day.”
Some hotels are equipping their rooms with "workout kits" that compliment these in-room programs. On the website for Westin hotels, the chain offers a selection of rooms that come with their own treadmills and stationary bikes. Others are even offering to let guests borrow workout clothes and shoes from the front desk.
This can help encourage people to stay fit in any situation, without having to ruin their vacation with constant trips to the gym.
