It seems like everyday scientists are discovering new tricks to help people get ripped. Everyone knows that working out regularly and lifting weights is the best way to build muscle, but it's always good to learn about ways to enhance this process. Researchers from the Plants for Human Health Institute have discovered that a steroid found in plants in the mustard family, have a similar affect to anabolic steroids without the side effects.
"We hope that one day [these steroids] may provide an effective, natural, and safe alternative for age and disease associated muscle loss, or be used to improve endurance and physical performance," said Slavko Komarnytsky, Ph.D.
Researchers pointed out, however, that this should not be viewed as a "quick fix" way to get ripped. Lifting weights regularly and watching your diet is the best way to stay fit and build muscle.
Scientists plan to continue to work to figure out how to boost the amount of these steroids in certain foods, in order to potentially have plants that will help boost a person's ability to build muscle.
