Websites offer get ripped diet suggestions

RipFire to get ripped

When it comes to building muscle while you're trying to get ripped, it's all about what you eat. If you don't make healthy food choices, then you're not going to see the results you want no matter how hard you work out. FoodProductDesign.com offers a nutrition profile for people who are working toward that six-pack to follow.

"The need to build and repair muscle mass affects all adults and doesn’t change dramatically with age. Therefore, it is important to establish good eating habits early on," said Doug Paddon-Jones, associate professor of nutrition at The University of Texas Medical Branch.

First, it's important to get the right amount of protein each day. For people who are building muscle, this means between consuming 20 to 30 grams per meal. Padden-Jones recommends eating eggs and Greek yogurt as good sources of protein.

Men's Health adds on their website that olive oil, beef, salmon and almonds all offer their own benefits to people who are building muscle. These foods can help restore nutrients lost during a workout, and ensure that all of your hard work doesn't go to waste.
