Fitting in a workout during the holidays

Rip Fire to get ripped

The holidays are stressful time, and with so much going on it can be hard to find the time to get ripped. Recently, The Kansas City Star offered some tips for serious exercise buffs about how to re-arrange your schedule to find time for a workout this holiday season.

First, the news provider suggests assessing your gym routine to find spots where you're wasting time.

"Do you sit at a machine or on a bench with a loaded bar, and do all your sets with a long rest period in between? That's a time waster. Instead, use the circuit method to exercise opposing muscles. Do a quad exercise, then immediately do a hamstring exercise," according to the Star.

HowToBeFit.com suggests that the key to getting in a quick workout is to do it at lunchtime. Along with helping you stay on your path of building muscle and staying in shape, this can also give you a burst of energy to help you get through the rest of the day. Finally, when your family is here for the holidays try and plan physical activities everyone can do together, such as a flag football game or a hike.
